H Ouramo and Olga Spyropoulou have chosen to become family for a day but do not know how. In this participatory performance, they ask children and adults alike for directions: what does a family do? 

Next to kin explores the idea of a chosen family. It investigates what it is that makes a family and brings to the fore how assumptions are created and structured. The performance challenges the idea that family is a singular thing. One is not family, one does family.
