A man and a woman live in their apartment. Small bursts of violence. They say they are happy. They watch TV. They love game shows. Small bursts of violence. True bliss. (Noises coming from outside.) Suddenly someone moves in to the apartment next door. (Pause.) Now they must be careful. Small bursts of violence. Now every sound is a threat. (Silence.)
In 2015, I directed Artemis Moustaklidou's play Η Απειλή for the National Theatre's program Open Platform.
